"I absolutely loved this. Thank you so much! Journaling has been hard sometimes feeling like I'm rewriting the same thing over and over, so it was so neat to see the images on paper."
This workshop is for adults, but the artwork we will use can be as simple as you want it to be.
The artwork itself isn't what matters - it's incorporating images and creativity into the mindset work that helps to make the lasting changes in our hearts and minds.
"I did [this] exercise...in Adoration, and it was so healing." - Carron
I don't know about you, but I have a difficult time getting comfortable with my uncomfortable emotions.
Instead of sitting with them or getting curious about them, I find myself wanting to avoid them by:
scrolling on my phone
eating junk food
feeling angry and lashing out
ruminating
freezing and hiding
But difficult emotions are part of life.
And if we distract ourselves with these other things, guess what? The emotions are still going to be there when we're done!
I can't wait to show you another way of dealing with difficult emotions that can help you to get more comfortable with feeling them, understand why they're happening, and learn from them.
It's easy. It's fun. And it can create lasting change in your mind and heart!
I hope you'll join me!
"I deeply appreciated the simplicity of this way of understanding myself. I really gained a lot in just a short amount of time. I understood and received pictures and verses came to mind it was beautiful. Very healing and very productive in the way I assessed my situation; rather than just feeling all the emotions I understood them in my relationship with God! So awesome!" -Gloria
You'll be surprised to see how powerful it can be to create a simple image to accompany what's going on in your body, mind, and spirit.
Combining a simple doodle with mindset work allows us to make deeper connections than we can make with words alone.
"I had never considered using art to process my emotions...and it was a relief to slow down my need for words. Creating mini representations of my circumstances, feelings, and relationship to God helped me identify myself differently and more clearly."
