Though we'll use very simple artwork as part of the process, your level of artistic skill doesn't matter!
By incorporating creativity into the heart and mindset work we'll be doing, we can activate a part of our brain that makes connections on a deeper level.
The simple doodles pictured here represent the kind of thing we will be doing.

"I deeply appreciated the simplicity of this way of understanding myself. I really gained a lot in just a short amount of time. I understood and received pictures and verses came to mind it was beautiful. Very healing and very productive in the way I assessed my situation rather than just feeling all the emotions I understood them in my relationship with God! So awesome!" -Gloria
Day 1 - Fearfully and Wonderfully Made Let's discover God's unique design for us using our temperament as our starting point. By creating a unique figure that will represent ourselves for the remainder of the week, we'll also identify and list our strengths, weaknesses, triggers, and ideal conditions. Coming to know ourselves in this way is such an important first step in seeing and appreciating our own uniqueness and God's loving design for us. There is a part of God's plan that only YOU can fulfill!
Day 2 - Why Don't I Do the Things I Want to Do? Just as St. Paul says in Romans, "For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I do" (Romans 7:19), we all have areas in which we desire to grow and tendencies and habits that we wish we didn't keep falling into. I'll give you a simple tool to help you grow in your awareness of these things and to remove the obstacles that are standing between you and your goals.
Day 3 - Why so Downcast, O my Soul? God has created us with emotions. They act as a bridge between our minds and our senses. All emotions are useful and helpful to us, telling us something about ourselves and our experiences! But sometimes we dull, numb, or stuff down our difficult emotions. Instead, let's learn a healthier way to process our difficult emotions: by getting curious about them and inviting Jesus into them with us!
Day 4 - So Far as it Depends on You, Live Peaceably With All St. Paul gives this instruction in Romans 12 as he describes the marks of a true Christian. But often we experience a lack of peace when it comes to our relationships. Sometimes this is not within our control and sometimes it is. In this workshop, we'll discover the things that are within our control that we can do to "live peaceably with all." This can include setting boundaries, managing our expectations, and cleaning up our thoughts.
Day 5 - Who Does He Say that I Am? In this final lesson, we will identify some of the underlying beliefs we have about who we are, our goodness, our worthiness, our lovability. Sometimes these beliefs feel very true to us. Sometimes we may even have evidence that supports them or good reasons for holding onto them. We'll learn how to challenge some of those beliefs and to replace them with truths from the Word of God.
"I had never considered using art to process my emotions...and it was a relief to slow down my need for words. Creating mini representations of my circumstances, feelings, and relationship to God helped me identify myself differently and more clearly."
